So Where the Hell Have You Been?

Recently Added Playlist

Keep an eye out for the new Arcade Fire "Neon Bible". It's the follow up to the first cd "Funeral", which quickly became one of my all time favorites. Yea, I thought it was that good.
The cd has leaked (all 11 songs) and they sound great. While I don't think they've surpased their previous effort, this is a worthy follow up and there is no "sophomore slump". The pipe organ is a nice touch, and it doesn't sound goth at all. After 2-3 "spins" there's a few songs that stand out. Keep the motor running reminds me immediately of National Lampoon's Vacation. Hell, the very last song "My Body is a Cage" is one that I innitially didn't like, but found it stuck in my head when I woke up. Strange.
Anyway, the cd is due March 6. I'm picking it up. Day 1 purchase.

2 Quick Thoughts
Hey greying balding old guy wearing kahki cargo pants and riding a souped up razor scooter. Really? A Razor scooter? What the hell is this, high school 1998? Thanks for the laugh buddy.
Hey fat girl, come are you ticklish? Yea I called you fat...(alright enough of the song)...you have to turn sideways to go down steps. What the hell is that? I wouldn't minde, but you did it in slo fraking motion. Jeez, pick up the pace already. I've seen this happen a few times before. Sometimes that person, actually they are usually women, is older although that wasn't the case this morning. You know, I think I figured out the ultimate test to decide if your fat, and I mean fat as not in the good way. When you have to go down steps 1 at a time, sideways, you got problems. I wouldn't be soo mad, if she didn't stop outside the door and continue to block everybody's path.
EDIT: I "drafted this yesterday, just to get it off my chest. Today, although I feel a little bad, I'm posting it anyway.

Pink Hard Hats

Somebody, somewhere has a trunk full of hard hats, both the nice Walton ones as well as the hot pink ones from our job. I've got a pretty good idea who it is.

Minor Update
While I've upgraded the blog portion to the new version, the template (which includes the side panel) was still in the old version. I've been slowly getting that updated. It may not seem like a big deal to you, but to me...it really isn't either. Hopefully it will make it easier to update the DVDs, books, and Cd's that I'm currently into.
Also, it doesn't help that I've started watching Battlestar Galactica. I just finished Season 1 last night. Great show and I'm sorry that I didn't get into it sooner. All the good press this show has received, and the fact that Tricia Helfer was in Playboy, helped me get into it. I'm desperately looking forward to starting Season 2 tonight. May be tough though, as Monday has become a very, very, very packed night of TV watching. Prison Break (DVR, glad when this one will be over), 24 (on DVR), Heroes (live), Studio 60 (DVR), CBS comedies (HIMYM, 2.5 Men, NAoOC, ....don't ya just hate random acronyms!...all on VCR)
Anyway, I hope to have some new things up soon, as I'm in desperate need to practice my writing. Until then, enjoy that video I just posted, "Deadwood Pancakes".
Deadwood Pancakes
A fan made video showing exactly why I think it's hard to watch and follow HBO's Deadwood. I love the characters on the show, but sometimes, I'm f'in lost.
Yes, there are dirty words in the video, so be careful if you're at work.

New Hotness Update

Oh, yea I promise to finish up the multiple blog drafts I have going right now that contain a little substance and aren't just You Tube videos, funny pictures and football talk (although I do have to bitch about Fran sucking ass in the Holiday Bowl. I've also got to talk about the loot I got for Christmas as well as the fun New Years Eve Party we went too.
....Hell, I still have blogs about Thanksgiving to finish up. Damn, lots to catch up on. Hope to be caught up by th end of the month.
Until then....

Christmas Lights
The song is "Wizards In Winter" by Trans Siberian Orcheastra.
I know this is a little dated, but watching this never gets old.
I could watch the video all day. Let me know how many times you end up watching it.
Merry Christmas!

Desmond Howard's Apology?
This was weak. Misspoke?
No, you didn't misspeak. You broke down a game that's not being played. You're supposed to be an "expert analyst" and now you are what we've thought all along, a dumbass.
It's not like he mentioned the bowl in passing. He FEATURED it as his "favorite matchup".
Also, the Holiday bowl is being sponsored by Pacific LIFE, not the timezone or the ocean. Please make an attempt to get it right. That is what they pay you for and why we watch you. If we wanted a half-ass attempt to break down a bowl nobody cares about, we would instead watch Trev Alberts break down the Alamo bowl.
Desmond Howard is an Idiot
Apparently, he did this before the TCU - NIU game and during halftime of the same game. Nobody even bothered to correct him.
Definetly a candidate for TexAgs "Jackass of the Game".
Transformers
I'll be honest, this looks awesome. Another movie to look out for next summer.
Per Michael Bay
"It has been awhile since I've posted. Finished shooting end of Sept., on budget, just came under $300,000. I beat Pearl by a $100,000. I had a great time making this movie, the cast and crew were amazing.
Today I just finished the new teaser for Christmas and I think it's AWESOME! The trailer mixing Guru who does all the big summer movies turned to me and said with a little more ump - it was '****ing awesome'.
I think some of my films have had good teasers but this one is just makes a statement. It's hard edged to show we are not a silly 'toy' movie. We show just hints of robots - and almost none of our epic shots are in this teaser, but the movie just looks big. I had a room full of 20 Tranformers adult geeks, and they all applauded at the end.
It comes out the 22nd - see it in the theater! Let me know what you think.
Michael Bay"
Per Don Murphy (one of the Producers)
"The TRANSFORMERS trailer comes out December 20th online. I’m not going to hype it. If it doesn’t silence the haters, nothing will. The reality is that this film comes out July 4th, 2007, and the producers and the studio are already talking sequel. We know what we have is an exciting and amazing summer blockbuster.
The Don Murphy Message Board was set up by a fan of mine to discuss my movies. Soon, certainly by the new year, there will be a banner on top of the page advising that Transformers discussion should be moved to www.transformersmovie.com . I mean, you can post whatever you want wherever you want I guess…except there is no point anymore. The film is shot. The first director’s cut comes in next week. ILM is rendering the film. We all think that the film kicks ass. But, no matter what you post, it isn’t changing. All the polls in the world no longer make a difference. It seems to make more sense to discuss the movie on the movie site.
I know that from the beginning of this board, I have done my utmost best to make the fan base as happy as I possibly could. You guys demanded Cullen and despite resistance from some quarters he is in there. I feel Welker will hopefully come in there as well. There were things you wanted that frankly made no sense in a live action movie. And there were things I could not deliver, because I was only one voice among many. I think the board served its purpose and along the way created a community and for that I am most grateful."
Now for some pictures -
The man Optimus Prime (voice by the same actor as the cartoon!)

Barricade (Decepticon police car):

A pretty cool screen shot from the movie. You can see this sequence in the trailer above.

Frank Miller's 300
A quick description of the movie.
Based on Frank Miller's graphic novel, set in the midst of the Persian-Greco war during the 480 B.C. Battle of Thermopylae, where Spartan king Leonidas led his army of 300 soldiers into battle against the invading Persian army. According to legend, their valor and sacrifice inspired all of Greece to unite against their Persian foe, leading to the origins of democracy.

Ok, so I'm probably done with Strip Clubs Now

All thanks to this message board I found today.
Probably NOT SAFE FOR WORK!
Here are some notable comments from the thread I just linked to.
Yesterday at work I was dealing with this really arrogant, over-the-top touchy/feely as-hole....
He actually wanted a few dances. Ok, at least I'll make some cash for putting up with this guy...
So for whatever reason, I had REALLY bad gas! They type you can't hold back, etc. I figured, eh, the music is loud enough, what the hell! It was great. I probably farted on this guy three times. Not loud so he could hear, but enough to where I could tell what was going on.
I honestly feel bad for his pants! *hehe, go ahead, try grabbing my boob again *ph-ffffffff-----bbbtt!**
Nice. Now to get away with that, the stripper better be hot as hell. Sadly, after looking through the forum, I don't think that was the case. The guy was probably just a giant douche.
Check out this next comment.
Bwahahaha we don't have lapdances here, but I've been known to go over where guys are sitting on the tiprail and fart when they're being assholes. My fav is a girl I work with though, she walks over to where the guys are, farts, and then goes to the other side of the stage for a minute and dances...then comes back and exclaims loudly "OMG what is that SMELL???"
Wow. What a mega mega biatch. Pretty funny though, if you're watching from a distance.
Here's the gem from the entire thread. I don't think I could stop laughing if this one ever happened in front of me.
Yenk got it! haha we have been calling that crop-dusting at our clubs forever now. I seriously wish I could fart more and the only thing funnier than walking past tables with heads at "ass" level is that you guys get to do it right in their laps. I'm jealous
I do remember the story that the housemom Babs @ Cheetah tells tho, you have to be careful ladies. When she was Mom at Gold Club a girl was dancing on top of a table full of guys when she accidentally dropped a milk-dud right in the middle of the table. She told Babs (between tears and sobs) that she thought she only had to fart, she was seriously distraught over it poor thing
As Borat would say....Niiiice.
I think I may have found my New Years Resolution.
